PERSONALITY:

Yoshiko is a girl with two sides to her, that are hard to completely separate. One one hand she is a normal Japanese high schooler who wants to make friends with her classmates and be normal. On the other side she is Yohane, the Fallen Angel, a being whose power over darkness is too dangerous for the armies of the light to ignore...

Of course it’s all a lie. She is a normal girl who simply wants to be special. So much so that she concocted all of these stories about her magical powers to stand out from everyone else. While it made her happy at first, she realized it was also keeping her from making friends. And yet, even though she tried to give it all up when she entered high school, she couldn’t hide from her past or her love of the occult. She so very much wants to believe in the world being more magical than it might really be, unable to chalk up the meeting of her and a dog in a rainstorm as anything but true Fate that brought them together. In the end, it’s simply all because Yoshiko is afraid that without this part of her, she’d be a boring person in a boring life.

Though Yoshiko managed to make friends in school, even joining a group of girls to become an idol and increase her popularity, she still keeps her Yohane persona. At this point it’s difficult to say where Yohane and Yoshiko end. When she gets excited she can’t help but go all out with her usual Yohane theatrics, but she’s not really all that delusional at all, just a little socially awkward, even though she tries her best. At first she had tried to completely drop being Yohane at all, but thanks to the friends she made she learned that she could use it as a unique charm point, that it made her who she was, and she didn’t have to be completely embarrassed about it.

One of the first things people usually notice about her is that she’s excitable and charismatic, which only feed into her need to be center of attention. However, while she might enjoy the spotlight, she’s not by any means a selfish or mean person. She follows the other girl’s directions in her idol group while trying to get better and honestly tries to help others do their best, like with her friendship with Riko.

While it might seem like her chuunibyou would be what holds her back at times, it’s usually just Yoshiko’s terrible, unfortunate luck, and her awful clumsiness. Just as she wanted to get away from her old embarrassing life at a new school far away she ended up running into someone who recognized her... causing her to climb up a tree, only to then fall right out of it. And it’s not uncommon for her livestreams to end disastrously when she accidentally knocks over one fo the hundred candles in her room and starts a small fire.

MAGIC ABILITY:

Charm Magic.

As she proclaimed to have in an older QA, Yoshiko will gain the ability to charm people for limited amounts of time. While under her spell, so long as she can keep concentration on the specific person (or two) they will follow her commands, becoming a “Little Demon”.

However, Yoshiko’s ability will only be limited as long as she can keep up her concentration in her “Fallen Angel Yohane” persona, which has never lasted longer than like ten minutes. Of course, commands to self-harm, or harm others will be void (and oocly any and all commands will be okay’d ahead of time!).

PRICE:

The loss of all her followers on social media that she had spent so much time and effort amassing.

ACCLIMATION:

8/10. As a denizen of the Internet as well as a gigantic nerd in her own right, stories in which modern day characters get summoned into another fantasy world is well within Yoshiko’s wheelhouse. Not to mention she spent her entire teenage years before becoming an idol pretending to be a fallen angel with dark powers on the internet. Being transported to another world in which she has powers is basically what she’s wishing for all her life, more or less. While she will of course miss her friends and family, the chance of adventure and magic that she only dreamed of coming true will only make her all too happy to acclimate quickly.
